Little Missouri Outpost - North Dakota

Archery Big Game & Upland Birds

If you think you would enjoy hunting trophy deer and antelope in a rustic western ranch environment, similar to that enjoyed by Theodore Roosevelt a century ago, then our Little Missouri Outpost in southwest North Dakota is a perfect place to bow hunt. This working ranch property with diverse topography and 20 miles of river bottom is a perfect habitat for Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer and Pronghorn Antelope. In addition, the property is available for hunting Hungarian Partridge, Sharptail Grouse and Ringneck Pheasants.

Hunting parties of four to six will enjoy the simple unembellished pleasures of living in an authentic ranch environment. Guests sleep in a guesthouse remanescent of bunkhouses of the old west and eat hearty home-cooked meals prepared on-site. Satellite televison and telephone service are the only links to the outside world.

Most big game on the Little Missouri Outpost is taken with bow and arrow since out-of-state rifle permits are very limited. If you are ready for hunting in the finest tradition of the American West you need to hunt with us in North Dakota.

What a great time we had on our recent hunt. The whole North Platte Outpost experience was a wonderful vehicle for camaraderie, fun and great hunting. While I particulary enjoyed the professional dog work and goose calling, my sons were delighted with the home-cooked meals, breakfast in the blind, and the overflowing cookie jar. Your attention to service, your respect for the hunt, and the quality of your people made it a remarkable experience and a lasting memory for a dad and his two sons.
